Buteyko Breathing

Healthy breathing habits are just as important as a healthy diet and lifestyle.

In fact, the way we breathe may be even more important in maintaining health, physical fitness and longevity than we realize.

Learn the correct concepts of breathing through the Buteyko Breathing Method and learn how to reduce and relieve symptoms of respiratory illness and disease such as asthma, chronic bronchitis, allergies, sleep apnea, anxiety and much more! The Buteyko Breathing Method is also affective for the athlete who wishes to improve cardiovascular fitness and endurance. The Buteyko Breathing Method is completely safe and natural, has no adverse side effects and is effective for adults and children.

“I’ve been astonished and also very pleased with the excellent result. There is no disruption of their life at all by their disease: normal activities; not waking at night; not needing to use any reliever medications. It’s just great…75% control is about as good as anyone has got in any study of asthma. The neat thing about it is that it has no side effects. It’s very safe. The Buteyko technique certainly has been shown to be an important adjunct to treatment.”

For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by the voice. I was trained as a classical soprano over 20 years ago and then began performing in concert and on the musical theater stage. Since that time, I have enjoyed teaching many people how to sing and how to sing better! At a certain point, I realized that I wanted to know MORE about the voice and speech mechanism, and I wanted to reach more people. I went back to school and have been working as a speech pathologist and voice coach for the past 10 years. It is very rewarding to be able to combine and focus all of my training to help others heal, speak, breathe, sing and communicate more freely. I have diverse training in a many voice and speech techniques and am also a certified Buteyko Breathing practitioner.

Every person is unique and has different needs depending upon diagnosis, history, and goals. During my sessions, I listen to my clients and rely on my experience, training, science and intuition to help determine what techniques, exercises and tools are going to be the most effective.
